The MIA Automated People Mover (APM) system is a 1.3-mile elevated transit line connecting Miami International Airport (MIA) to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). This significant design-build project features a guideway that supports two light rail tracks, standing approximately 40 feet above grade on concrete piers spaced 120 feet apart. It also includes a state-of-the-art passenger station.

Completed on schedule and $5 million under budget, the project involved a comprehensive scope of services, including design, permitting, construction, quality control, maintenance of traffic (MOT), and coordination with ongoing airport operations. Despite traversing one of the busiest entrances in Miami, with 75,000 vehicles and thousands of passengers daily, the work was executed seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted airport access and safety.
The project achieved LEED Gold Certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable construction and environmental stewardship.
